Shamim Iqbal, a student at Virtual University, has qualified for the 2nd ICT Skills Competition held in China HUAWEI Pakistan in collaboration with HEC. She was one of the top six students who participated in the international finals.
Huawei inaugurated the tournament on August 15, 2017, showcasing the skill sets and intelligence of students from over 22 universities in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KPK. More than 7,000 students competed in the competition, which is held in 14 specialized Huawei HAINA laboratories. The top six competitors were selected from fifty participants for the National Finals to be held in China. The top six students are from Virtual University, UET Lahore, NUST Islamabad and Lahore Garrison University.
